breathe
with
me

Hi, I’m Liv (pronounced ‘leave’). I’m a breathwork facilitator in Duluth, Minnesota.

Breathwork has helped me feel more alive and present; expanding my capacity for life and grounding me in the moment.

I approach breathwork with softness and understanding, encouraging curiosity and exploration but letting you, the breather, lead. I hold space for you through the big life experiences, small daily occurrences, and everything in between.

I graduated from Breath Liberation Society with a 200hr Trauma-Conscious Breathwork Facilitation certificate. My background includes 200hr yoga teacher training as well as training in Yin Yoga, Trauma Conscious Yoga, Dreamwork, Spring Forest Qigong, and Reiki.

Why breathwork?

Breathwork is a powerful tool; it can increase your capacity for everyday living, helping you create space to feel big emotions and process what you’ve been holding onto. Breathwork gets you out of your head and into your body; connecting you to the deep inner wisdom you hold.

Our breath is the most accessible healing tool we have. While I hold space, it is you, the breather, who’s doing the work and healing. You hold the power to heal and transform.

There are so many benefits to breathwork, and different reasons people engage with it, including:

  • Connection to your body

  • Creating/reinforcing trust with your physical self

  • Helping to shift behaviors and patterns

  • Helping to move stuck energy

  • Processing stored emotions

  • Connecting to your wise inner knowing and deep intuition

  • Creating clarity surrounding a big decision or experience

  • Experiencing alternative states of consciousness

  • Increasing creativity

  • Helping to cope with daily stressors

  • Increasing capacity for joy, pleasure, and wonder

What to expect

This style of breathwork uses the 3-part breath pattern to get into a state of active meditation. A breathwork session can last between 60-90 minutes, with around 30-minutes of guided active breath, with rest after for your body and mind to integrate your experience. I offer virtual and in-person options, leading both individual and groups.

A breathwork practice can cause strong physical sensations and/or emotional releases. Some common experiences include physical sensations such as temperature changes, tingles, tightness, strong emotions such as grief/joy/rage, and non-ordinary states of consciousness (floaty/out-of-body experiences).

If you are in the first trimester of pregnancy, have a history of seizures, are recovering from a recent traumatic brain injury, have experienced or are experiencing bipolar or schizophrenia, please consult your physician before participating in this practice. Please reach out to me with any questions.
